Influence Map

My son Kevin did one of these and they seem really popular. The idea is to fill the space with various things that have influenced your art style. The more space they take up the greater the influence. There's a number of ways to interpret this, and influences are constantly shifting.  2 of the blocks may be confusing.  My mom and Dad were not artists, but they really encouraged me and enrolled me in lots of different art class.  I am greatly influenced by music and love to listen to it while creating art, hence the image of me playing guitar when I was a teen.  I also put my son in here.  He creates awesome art and I've used some things I've learned from him in my own art.

Ruth's Childhood Home

I was asked to recreate a home that doesn't exsist any more.  I had a line drawing, a few photos and the memory of my neighbor Ruth.  I created this house in Adobe Illustrator.  Then Ruth came over and she had me tweak the colors and add elements to make it how she remembered it.

Patinting for Todd

This is a painting I did for a friend Todd Brinkerhoff.  He wanted me to paint the main characters of a book his sister-in-law is writing.
